Street vs.Snow Photocollectionone

It’s been a pretty hectic weekend rushing over the Germany highways trying to get in time for all sort of events. Saturday we arrived unprepared in Kaunertal for what seemed to become one hell of a railbattle. The setup looked good and creative, no easy downrails just a bunch of metal with gaps and transfers and closeouts, stairs, he whole deal. Flo Achenrainer was behind the whole thing which is worth mentioning and also a big shoutout to Monster for fueling the whole thing. Just when we got into the contest out photocam stopped but luckily we we’re able to use Method’s came but now we just have to wait and see if we ever get to see those photo’s again.
- Let the hike begin. Kas not rushing to land a trick during warmup.
- Bob The Verbouwer having a good time before getting knocked down before knocking down, but more on that later.
- The hike was on, who ever said that snowboarding is a livestyle and not a sport never did three 45 min hiking session.
- Dude in green hoodie backlipping into the stairs.
- Mr.Anus, the man behind the hole event getting his men together to talk safewords.
- Max the Freez is probably thinking of some sneaky way to ride finals without qualifying.
- After popping out of this backblunt Luc probably never even touched those stairs anymore.
- Andrej Marincic 10 push ups for not landing his trick.
- SVSS Gold medalist Augustinus taking the safer 5050 way over the gap while torquing for some rotations off.
- Mr. and Mrs. Augustinus making sure their son did well on that landing in the Monster booth.
- Not sure what the name of this stuntman was but with onefooters like these and other big airs and bs270′s, it wasn’t a big surprise to see him back in round 2.
- controlled boarderX landing after big airs. No biggie for Mr. Stuntman.
- Andrej Marincic, all the way over from Slovenia to pull off some mean airs and this backblunt to reg.
- Dani Rajcsanyi hopping over that gap with a fronttail 270. Dude had a different approach to this setup than most and rocked the nastiest stache that made us vote for his sliders. to
- Eirik Nesse likes to go sideways over these litlte hops. Dude showed a whole list of tricks like 3′s in, hardway 270′s, innovative gaps and transfers. Definite winner in our book.
- Austrian favorite Davo Struber hopping from this backboard into a nosepress with easy.
- RockOn representative Michi Miethig taking some airtime before kissing that backlip onto the metal.
- Seems like some people would have rather been invited for the Air&Style that was held in Innsbruck on the same day. At least the kaunertal locals didn’t have to drive for an hour to see some upsidedowners. Ones again our stuntman with some Xflips
- Andrej banasliding not sure from what way he came.
- Another banana, different rider.
- Miethig attempting a stylish back twosev to fakie.
- Andrej Marincic ones more coming on and off the gaprail.
- You know what they say about a clean method.
- No straps just claps.
To end this rather uncomplete photocollection a shot that shows how the rest of the day progressed, riders charging the setup with their unique style. Must have been hell to judge between the difference of clean style, rediculous airs, safe tricks and hammers. Either way we are stoked for the winners and we might as well mention since we’re not sure if we’re able to recover the shots we took with the methodcam.
Jesse Augustinus and Mike Casanove share the win and the loot and from the girls it’s Anne Sophie Lechon who got first.
Congrats.
