In a spur of the moment decision we decided to head down south instead of going to Sweden. From reliable sources we had heard around the three-country point of Slovenia, Austria and Italy good spots, sunshine and great pizza was awaiting. We would meet up with some natives and the crew heading out in Cees Wille’s Chevy was Kas Lemmens, Bob van Unnik, yours truly and of course Don Shithorse. After having finally picked up last crew member Kas on Utrecht central station we ventured off in search of the first border. Right upon getting there confusion aroused cause when we rolled into Germany spirits were already high and Cees asked us if we disposed. No we didn’t and sure enough we were getting lead of the Hi-way but forgetful Shithorse played it cool, Bob and me had it all stashed away so we weren’t worried. End good all good, blaze up, get beers and roll to Austria! Note: Thanks Cees for staying sober and guiding tipsy usses over curvy roads and swirly mountain passes.
We settled into our house for the week and got up late the next morning. We crossed the border into Italy in search of the miraculous. While standing around a friendly Italian came up to us and asked if we were looking for spots. Yes we were. ”Follow me!” So we did and he showed us the spot you see here, a beautiful, perhaps the most beautiful double kink ever and the flatbar in the background. We never hit them.
This lady asked us if we were on youtube. We redirected her to vimeo.
Reflective dropin rays.
We cruised up to the spot and Davo was standing around by his cabrio, board sticking out the bag. We started sessioning and took a break to share spring vibes.
These tricycles were all over town and had oldskoolers and barking dogs in em.
This giant of a dog came to greet Postland.
We had a sweet pad in Notsch, Austria and one night after being out in the sun all day Davo joined us for dinner. We cook, we chill, you know the drill.
The next morning an interesting sight took place. Bob spotted this patch of dirt in a snowpile which happened to look exactly like Holland, quite fitting we figured.
Dominik Wagner brought over his longtime friend Diz. He helped shape, filmed second angle and hooked us up with these amazing brownies his girlfriend/wife/lover made, Danke Dir Beide!
This was the spot me and domdom scoped on the first day in Italy. This is after this looong session was ended with a few more bangers from Mister Wagner.
Hanging out in the Chevy.
Davo delammed his board beyond repair so he tried his luck in the ever so apparent boardbreak ritual. Whether or not he made it I’ll leave up to your imagination. I just wonder what’s going on in Dom and Bob’s mind while watching this.
Dee Strubels is peace out, thanks for the goodtimes!
Scoping with Kas Lemmens.
Finding a line with Kas Lemmens.
This dear, yes dear bird was lying in front of our door for three days. Do you believe in signs?
